Climbing Mountains without Moisturizing Lotions
Going away to college has its good times but can come with a rash of bad times as well. I went away to school in upstate New York. Upstate from long island anyway. It was definitely a time in my life to remember. The town I was living in resided right near a beautiful mountain named Mohonk Mountain. On my spare time away from class my friends and I would often trek through the many different hiking paths exploring the vast outdoors of upstate New York. Hidden waterfalls and pristine untouched wild was the norm. On one of my very first explorations out onto the mountain however I learned how important moisturizing lotion can be when going through uncharted territories.
This excursion was primarily about learning the layout of the trails as I was still very ignorant to what was out there. My friend who was much more familiar with the terrain became the default guides of the day. Parking at the bottom of the mountain we were without hesitation trooping into personally unknown territory.
Where we were advancing towards was a mostly unknown place called “Shaft 2A” by the local residence. It turned out to be a valley deep inside the mountainous region with the only way to reach it being through a scraggly mountain town.
We made up there just as the sun was getting ready to set. Having to traverse a log bridge over a river we next climbed straight up the side of the mountain to the top right at the waterfall’s drop. Before I knew it each of us had jumped straight off into the water forty or fifty feet below. That moment was definitely one of the most thrilling of my life.
Heading up to the mountain for the first time will forever be with me. Not only did I have the opportunity to dive off a mountain into a narrow little stream but I woke up the very next day with a red rash covering my legs. The biggest lesson I came away with was not to go mountain trekking in shorts unless I don’t mind the occasion poison ivy rash. After that I needed to purchase moisturizing lotion to rid myself of the irritation. You can get some yourself by clicking here. From then on I always made sure to wear pants when I went up to Shaft 2A.

One of the easiest ways to prepare your child for eating healthy as they age is to encourage healthy eating habits. Be strict to start and then teach moderation and self control.
Eat a lot of fruits, vegetables and nuts. You should try to eliminate snacking all together, but if you find yourself craving something to munch on throughout the day or for a midnight snack, try having a piece of fruit. It can be just as filling as a cupcake or cookie but it’s a lot healthier and a lot less calories.
Vegetables and children never go hand in hand. Here you have an added advantage because broccoli sprouts differ in their look from traditional vegetable, and may be passed as another edible home product. But most children are fastidious eaters and are unlikely to taste anything with which they are not familiar. Why not tell them that broccoli sprouts are just another form of broccoli that they have known. They would probably give it a chance and a single bite will make them ask for more.
Vitamins are very important to take each and every day, as it is optimal to consume them in moderation. If you have too many vitamins, your skin will react negatively and breakout.
